I started publishing my reports here – just recapped 2015 and plan to make monthly reports going forward. https://www.earnmoneyblogging.net/affiliate-marketing-income-reports-amazon-affiliate-earnings-for-2015-graphic/
Your blog is great and every single post is packed with truly useful and up to date information and tips, but one thing I am finding, not just with BBT, but most “how to be a successful blogger” sites is that the focus is almost entirely geared towards people who want to be a “blogger” and not on how a company can use a blog to drive sales.
Ironically, I didn’t start this money blog to make money. I started it to share my financial independence story and strategies with anyone who was interested. But when a $5 bill is on the ground, you should always pick it up. As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve spent my entire career building websites for other people and Millennial Money is the first website I’ve built for myself. I also really love the challenge of making money online and teaching others how to do it too.
If there’s one guy’s email I never throw away before reading and dissecting, it’s Jon Morrow. First I was impressed by your back story and then I was impressed with the quality of your work and recommendations.
Narrow down the topics by reflecting on profitability and other goals. In order to make money, you’ll need to find a niche that other people haven’t filled already, but is still popular enough to attract a significant number of visitors. Also consider other factors, such as money you’d have to spend if your blog focused on reviewing products that you in turn would have to buy.
We hope this article helped you choose the best blogging platform for your next blog. If you’re ready to get started blogging with WordPress, then head over to our step by step guide on how to start a WordPress blog.

I stumbled upon your blog post through Pinterest and am so glad that I did! You seem like a blogger I would love to read and learn from! As a newbie, it’s so exciting to see other newer bloggers that are still in the earlier (but still very successful) stages of their careers because you seem so down to Earth and real! I can’t wait to hear more from you and to learn more about you and your blog!
Writing a post contains 2000 – 3000 words may be a bit difficult to me. But i must realize that nothing can be achieved without hard working. If we write a long valuable content like this, there is a great chance for bookmarking the page. So it is a great innovative strategy.
Wonderful post. there were so many ideas that I got from you and now I can’t wait to update my comment blog posts. Very well done and thank you so much for sharing such n important post. I also appreciated all the comments you generated from some very experienced bloggers.
Below are the 10 goals I set for the blog in 2017, what I was able to accomplish in 2017, and my goals for 2018. These also include a detailed breakout of the $401,681 in blog income I made from the Millennial Money website.
Follow related blogs and ask other bloggers about crosslinking. Contact other bloggers on social media and blogging sites, and help advertise each other’s articles when the subject overlaps with both your audiences. Many bloggers are happy to post a link on twitter even if they aren’t interested in advertising your blog on their own.
Laurel, I am so thrilled for you. That’s awesome news. You deserve it though, you’ve put in the hard yards to truly understand your audience. Your blog is beautiful, entertaining, and ‘on the money’ – literally! Well done. Inspiring stuff.
The market is saturated with blogs, but it is also saturated with opportunity. Pick a niche, become an authority, and stand out from the crowd. If you aren’t sure about a travel blog name yet, it doesn’t matter. You can still start your blog today and come up with a name later on.
Many blogs post funny videos and images around a certain topic. Fail Blog is a famous example, posting examples of mishaps, misspellings, and other “stupid” actions. It makes its money primarily through advertising, and now sells a highly successful book as well.[4]
I have a blog about camera bags that makes me about $70 per month, and I’ve been tweaking it since January and am seeing gains over 2015’s income. Nice to see some lower tiered bloggers who post their reports, too. It’s always intimidating to see the big numbers and big players. So I often go back into their archives to see what it was like when they started. Not everyone has the gumption to post their early earnings – because it is embarrassing on some levels… but the fact is, everyone starts somewhere! I post my reports on my blogging niche website here: http://www.earnmoneyblogging.net/category/earnings-report/ Hoping to get up to $1000 by this time next year!
I read your entries about asset portfolio too, great work btw! Are you currently loving your turnkey purchases? Have been looking into turnkey purchases with intention to put long term tenants there, but since I live in UK now, it’s a little pain in the butt to fly back to the state. So my question is, did you literally just fly there once and see the place, then just hire someone to do it all? Any problems so far?
One example is this: since our blog is a sub-domain for my wife and I’s boutique beach resort, nobody seems to want to touch me as a guest blogger. I get the same response every time “you’re commercial and so you’ve got to pay for a sponsored post”…and while yes, we are commercial and not a private blog per se, we’re a tiny family run business and 95% of private blogs are striving to be commercial, whether they’re associated with a company name or not.
Also many people are fooled that getting their blog to 1st position on page one will drive HUGE traffic to their blogs, the truth is this is not the case. To enjoy big traffic from Google you need to be on page one for MANY keywords not just one.
While selling digital products or services can be an easy way to start making money online, there’s nothing quite like selling real, physical products. Here are a few ways you can get started selling products with WordPress.

I have been meaning to tell you thanks for including me! I need to get back to publishing these reports, I have been on a blogging sabbatical and have not published anything for a while now so need to get back to it!
I had a blog a couple years ago in a pretty precise niche (female musicians), too precise maybe. I had like 20 readers! Now I’d like to try again with another topic but I’m afraid there’s way too much blogs about it already (hippie lifestyle including health, fashion, decor, beauty, printables, etc). I tried checking stats and keywords but I don’t understand any of the information I’m getting. I’d rather pay someone to do the research for me but I have no money. The other thing is that I’m not an expert in anything. The hippie lifestyle thing is the only topic I can think of that would generate more than two article ideas in my brain! Do you think there are solutions for someone in my situation ?
This guide to making a money making blog is completely free. I don’t want anything for it – just for you to take action and do it, so many of my friends would love to do it but give up too soon, often when their big breakthrough might only be a few weeks away.
I’m a blogger/entrepreneur specialising in blogging to women 35 – 65 who are AB demographicI’ve been researching this topic for the past month. I’m making about $500 a week from my 4 month old blog for paid placements, but would like to make more through affiliate marketing but am still building my content and traffic.
Definitely not mandatory! The majority of bloggers don’t share income reports. We had just learned so much from other bloggers who had, so before we started making much at all, we started sharing our income in hopes that following our journey would help others be able to figure out this whole money and blogging thing too! Best of luck with your blog!
Hey Dena! Just hit publish!! I was scared like you too when I first started this blog. But the more you publish and write, the easier it gets and the more comfortable you will be finding your voice. What are your goals for starting a blog? Mine was to share my journey, help others and monetize. You could read this post too – it’s how I worked full time but was a part time blogger and outlines my schedule (warning – it was a little crazy!)
Forth, If you want to learn more about Elite Blog Academy, you can do so here. It was the first course I took that helped me learn what to write about, grow my blog, figure out my VA biz and create my first course.
