Good content can be highly targeted and should accomplish two goals. First, it should teach others how to solve a problem or how to do their job better. And it then establishes you as a thought leader in that space. Each aspect naturally leads to more business, if you offer them real value. It’s basic psychology, and it gets real results. — Michael Riley, co-founder, Boxter
My biggest LinkedIn marketing strategy is to be consistently active in groups. Right now, we’re seeing a big shift in social media engagement, on Facebook and LinkedIn in particular, where private groups are taking a more prominent role. The ability to connect with a community of folks who are all united around a common topic or interest is very powerful. By answering questions, adding value, and building one-to-one relationships in these groups, I believe you can leverage your influence on LinkedIn in a way that can’t be done by simple optimizing your profile or posting content for all to see.
Pinterest also announced today that it’s giving test access to the ads API with several technology partners and brands. The company isn’t releasing details about features or participants but the general concept is the same content publishing API, except for Promoted Pins.
“Such great info! Instagram is an amazing place to promote your store as of most of the people are there now in the present. There’s no question that Instagram has become a juggernaut in the social media landscape
Our compilation of the latest social media statistics of consumer adoption and usage Social networks are now so well established, that there is a core ‘top 5’ social networks that don’t change much from year-to-year. But, as we’ll see in …..
Marsha Collier has authored 48 marketing and commerce books, is the founder of one of the most successful Twitter chats, and hosts a hugely popular marketing and tech podcast. With such a long list of accomplishments, it’s no wonder that her Twitter feed is always full of great marketing information.
For example, square-shaped and vertical videos perform best with Pinterest’s grid design, but the site doesn’t have best practices around video length, which has been a major challenge for advertisers on other platforms. Snapchat caps videos at 10 seconds, while Instagram clips can be up to 60 seconds long, and Facebook encourages brands to make the most of the first few seconds of a clip.
Success Metrics: With a total budget of $15,000 USD, McDonald’s Canada gained 9,503 new followers over the course of the campaign. The campaign also drew in 14,200 profile views and resulted in a 4% overall engagement rate, which includes retweets, replies, favorites and clicks. This engagement rate is quite high when one considers that advertising click-through rates are generally subzero percentages.
MLM salespeople are not employees of the MLM company. Participants do not derive a salary/wage, nor do participants receive remuneration from the MLM company for their invested labor and expenses in their MLM “independent business”. The income of participants, if any income is made at all, is derived only from commissions on their personal sales or their share of the commissions on the personal sales of their downlines (the MLM compensation structure).
Biggest LinkedIn marketing strategy would have to be the using the advanced search option to set up meetings overseas. The advanced search is an extremely powerful way to find like-minded business acquaintances and then in turn set up meetings overseas. We have an extremely large network and of course, as standard, our best referrals and leads come from our first, second and sometimes third level connections on the network. Old meets new fashioned Word of Mouth!
Another technique involves the use of ‘shout-outs’. An unpaid shout-out is when you partner with another brand that has roughly the same number of followers as you to promote each other to your audiences and you both benefit from increased exposure.
5. Nurph. Speaking of blowing up the home page, here’s another tool to keep your tweets in check. Nurph lets you create a real-time chat on a topic of your choosing and then share it with your followers. This is perfect when 140 characters just won’t cut it, or when you’re having a heated debate about which flavor of PopTarts is the best. (It’s cherry, by the way).
Media: Include images and video (with descriptive titles and alt text) on blog posts and landing pages. They improve the user experience, which decreases bounce rates and improves your standing with Google.
This year, Pinterest has been laying the foundation for more advertising with the technology that enables marketers to manage their campaigns using familiar tools, similar to the systems they use to market on other social media platforms such as Facebook or Twitter.
What is the one tip you received from this post that you think will impact your business the most?  Please share your thoughts in the comments section below.  Also, there are many more business marketing tips out there, and I’d love your input below as to what YOUR most powerful LinkedIn tip is.
It’s best practice to use between three to five hashtags, despite the fact that the maximum you can add is 30 per Instagram post. Use your own, campaign specific hashtags as well as the more popular hashtags to increase the discoverability of your content. For example, try adding hashtags like #instagood (used is 300 million posts), or #tbt (Throwback Thursday), and don’t forget about industry specific ones. If you are in IT, the hashtag #IT or #tech will do just fine. Also, consider how you add hashtags, these can be added at the end of the post, in a comment or worked into the actual post, like GoPro does.
It’s safe to say that most of us have a soft spot for animals. The ASPCA could’ve chosen to count on that probability and simply talk about animal cruelty—and many people would have taken action based on that alone—but the power of this tweet lies in the image, in showing the reality of animal cruelty.
Instagram Stories have a slideshow format and are only live for 24-hours (though they can be saved to your device to be re-used later). This new feature is a direct competitor to Snapchat’s Stories and is now being heavily developed by Instagram. These are some of the benefits of using Instagram Stories for brands:
In a sense, all of our leads are “exclusive” because there is no other company on the internet that will be able to show you these leads. However, we understand that you sometimes want a boost that will put you ahead of everyone in the MLM and home based business industry.
The Direct Selling Association (DSA), a lobbying group for the MLM industry, reported that in 1990 only 25% of DSA members used the MLM business model. By 1999, this had grown to 77.3%.[24] By 2009, 94.2% of DSA members were using MLM, accounting for 99.6% of sellers, and 97.1% of sales.[25] Companies such as Avon, Electrolux, Tupperware,[26] and Kirby were all originally single-level marketing companies, using that traditional and uncontroversial direct selling business model (distinct from MLM) to sell their goods. However, they later introduced multi-level compensation plans, becoming MLMs.[21] The DSA has approximately 200 members[27] while it is estimated there are over 1,000 firms using multi-level marketing in the United States alone.[28]
If your business is service-oriented, focus on showcasing the process behind providing the service. Show your company culture, share your mission with the world, or simply share some tips and how-tos. It’s possible to upload photos, short videos (similar to GIFs, called Boomerangs) and videos up to one minute in length.
On March 6, 2012, Dollar Shave Club launched their online video campaign. In the first 48 hours of their video debuting on YouTube they had over 12,000 people signing up for the service. The video cost just $4500 to make and as of November 2015 has had more than 21 million views. The video was considered as one of the best viral marketing campaigns[33] of 2012 and won “Best Out-of-Nowhere Video Campaign” at the 2012 AdAge Viral Video Awards.
A member of the public wore a shoelace as a necklace and tweeted a pic, it went viral. Engagement was at 310K and the story was picked up by the press. Whilst not directly promoting Nike, it brought huge interest @Nike. Strangely, Nike did not engage with the tweet.
When it comes to sniffing out the best marketing blog posts and reports to share with other marketers, Leary is top-notch. The Co-Founder and Partner of CRM Essentials also finds the time to retweet other marketing insiders and converse with other Twitter-ers in the industry. In other words, his account is thought leadership exemplified.

Interacting with people who mention your brand on Twitter is important. Brands that ask questions, use humour, can laugh at themselves, and personalize their tweets – are seen to be more approachable, more human. It takes time and effort but followers do appreciate it, and you’ll increase engagement and brand awareness.
The combined number of recruits from these cycles are the sales force which is referred to as the salesperson’s “downline”. This “downline” is the pyramid in MLM’s multiple level structure of compensation.[6]
“We want to tell people about us in the most engaging way we can,” said Community Manager Helena Langdon told Audiense in an interview. “It’s our goal to make our pages a place on social media where people want to visit and enjoy seeing in their timelines, then people won’t mind when we try to sell them drinks every now and again.”
It’s this approach to Twitter that makes them stand out from the crowd — and it certainly works for their audience. Their head of digital and communities Joe McEwan says that people really connect with their brand because they talk like human beings, without jargon or “technical mumbo jumbo.”
