MLM salespeople are, therefore, expected to sell products directly to end-user retail consumers by means of relationship referrals and word of mouth marketing, but most importantly they are incentivized to recruit others to join the company as fellow salespeople so that these can become their down line distributors.[3][6][7] According to a report that studied the business models of 350 MLMs, published on the Federal Trade Commission’s website, at least 99% of people who join MLM companies lose money.[8][9] Nonetheless, MLMs function because downline participants are encouraged to hold onto the belief that they can achieve large returns, while the statistical improbability of this is de-emphasised.
I was at “Sweetness Bakery and Cafe” the other day to order a hot chocolate with a friend. The barista asked me if I wanted half & half, whole milk, soy, rice, or hemp milk. I had never tasted hemp milk before. And I remembered the transition soy went through when manufacturers started sweetening soy up. So, I decided to try hemp since I figured it was sweet enough or the cafe wouldn’t suggest it. And Oh My God! It was the best cup of hot chocolate EVER! And I was amazed at what can be done with hemp.
I love the telephone verified leads and recomend them to all my new enrollees. The fact that you know they just asked for information from a live person gives new people the confidence to talk with posture. Thank you Ron –
Google’s Twitter feed is hardly a selling platform. Occasionally it tweets about product development but primarily it’s a collection of everything it considers important. Whether it’s a worthy cause, political issues, amusing anecdotes, or something poignant. The tweet above was retweeted 10,032 times and liked by 17,715. Comments weren’t all positive, but Google stood up for what it believes in and received engagement of 27.7K.
Pinterest has selected 10 partners — Ahalogy, Buffer, Curalate, Expion, Newscred, Percolate, Shoutlet, Spredfast, Sprinklr and Tailwind — to launch the program, giving them access to the company’s content publishing API. Some — including Pinterest specialist Tailwind — already had beta access to the API but all now are offering their customers tools to manage Pinterest along with other networks.
On March 6, 2012, Dollar Shave Club launched their online video campaign. In the first 48 hours of their video debuting on YouTube they had over 12,000 people signing up for the service. The video cost just $4500 to make and as of November 2015 has had more than 21 million views. The video was considered as one of the best viral marketing campaigns[33] of 2012 and won “Best Out-of-Nowhere Video Campaign” at the 2012 AdAge Viral Video Awards.
Pinterest also announced today that it’s giving test access to the ads API with several technology partners and brands. The company isn’t releasing details about features or participants but the general concept is the same content publishing API, except for Promoted Pins.
By fusing a fun and active challenge with desirable prizes, LG ensured that their competition would reach a large number of their target market. The campaign received 5,000 tweets on the first day and went on to reach 50,000 by the end. This, combined with impressive engagement rates of 38% from their sponsored links, helped them to quadruple their smartphone sales among 16-24 year olds during the weeks following the campaign.
Eric Scheibeler, a high level “Emerald” Amway member: “UK Justice Norris found in 2008 that out of an IBO [Independent Business Owners] population of 33,000, ‘only about 90 made sufficient incomes to cover the costs of actively building their business.’ That’s a 99.7 percent loss rate for investors.”[33]
Joe Pulizzi is often named the Godfather of Content Marketing for all the right reasons. He founded Content Marketing Institute and coined the term Content Marketing after realizing that the traditional advertising model was just not cutting it anymore. CMI was sold to UBM in 2016 in a hefty buyout and he continues to push the #ContentMarketingMovement forward.
In addition to tweeting out fun content, they’re constantly using Twitter to ask their followers to answer questions, respond to folks who tweet at them, and jump in on trending hashtags — like the #DontWorryBoutAThingCuz hashtag below.
Thanks Lewis. Got to love LinkedIn and now with the acquisition by Microsoft, it’s going to be amazing. As usual thanks for sharing your LinkedIn insight. I have been using Linkedin for a long time and gradually building an amazing business on it 🙂
It was not until August 23, 2005 that the State Council promulgated rules that dealt specifically with direct sale operation- Administration of Direct Sales (entered into effect on 1 December 2005) and the Regulations for the Prohibition of chuanxiao (entered into effect on 1 November 2005). When direct selling is allowed, it will only be permitted under the most stringent requirements, in order to ensure the operations are not pyramid schemes, MLM, or fly-by-night operations.

The tweetathon took place on Monday, June 13, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET, seven days before World Refugee Day, and it featured a number of social-savvy “Blue Key Champions” tweeting via their personal Twitter accounts for at least an hour each, while supporting tweets originating from the official @UNRefugeeAgency Twitter handle. Roya Hosseini, wife of The Kite Runner author Khaled Hosseini and the Twitter voice of the Khaled Hosseini Foundation (@tkhf) also appeared on the tweetathon as a special guest, which especially increased awareness of the tweetathon and campaign.
I spend a lot of time using LinkedIn Advanced Search to find prospects or like-minded people in my area to connect with. Even in just the short time that I have been doing this I have been invited to speak at two events by these new connections. And that was after just connecting with 10 people. So, I am continuing this approach of selectively, rather than in bulk, approaching people that fit my business.  If you are in the B2B arena, I highly recommend LinkedIn to expand your network!
In mid 2016, an Indian tea company (TE-A-ME) has delivered 6,000 tea bags[35] to Donald Trump and launched a video content on YouTube[36] and Facebook.[37] The video campaign became an award-winning content marketing case study and received various awards including most creative PR stunt[38] in Southeast Asia after receiving 52000+ video shares, 3.1M video view in first 72-hour and hundreds of publication mentions (including Mashable, Quartz,[39] Indian Express,[40] Buzzfeed[41]) across 80+ countries.

My best Linkedin marketing strategy involves the use of their platform as a place to share content. If you’re sharing business or professional content in any niche, LinkedIn is a great place to target.

It is important to distinguish between the MLM company itself versus the so-called “independent businesses” run by the MLM participants. Many MLM companies generate billions of dollars in annual revenue and hundreds of millions of dollars in annual profit, however, an MLM company’s overall profitability does not correlate to the profitability experience of their participants.
The personal finance site Mint.com used content marketing, specifically their personal finance blog MintLife, to build an audience for a product they planned to sell. According to entrepreneur Sachin Rekhi, Mint.com concentrated on building the audience for MintLife “independent of the eventual Mint.com product.”[24] Content on the blog included how to guides on paying for college, saving for a house, and getting out of debt. Other popular content included in-depth interview and a series of financial disasters called “Trainwreck Tuesdays.” Popularity of the site surged as did demand for the product. “Mint grew quickly enough to sell to Intuit for $170 million after three years in business. By 2013, the tool reached 10 million users, many of whom trusted Mint to handle their sensitive banking information because of the blog’s smart, helpful content.”[25]
2. TweetDeck. Like HootSuite, TweetDeck is another all-in-one management app used by many social media experts, especially those who use Twitter for business reasons. Which app you prefer will largely depend on personal taste, but in general, TweetDeck is slightly better for posting updates while HootSuite comes out ahead for tracking users and topics.
It certainly paves the way for more advertising, which has been an ongoing project at the company trying to compete with Google, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Pinterest recently launched Buyable Pins for retailers to post products that can be bought right from the platform. It also released a new animated ad format, Cinematic Pins.
They’ve also created a number of successful hashtags that encourage their followers to engage with them on Twitter. Their most famous is #TweetFromTheSeat, in which followers can send tweets while sitting on the toilet. The hashtag earned them a Shorty Award in 2014 — and we love the description they included in their entry:
During a soccer game in South America, Coca Cola turned tweets sent to the company during the game into confetti, which was then thrown out to the crowd. This was a great way to interact with customers in a current setting, with their own content. The company took a real-time event, where actual customers were in attendance, and brought the company to the people. And who doesn’t love confetti?
Pinterest joins a growing number of companies including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Snapchat that are gunning for lucrative video dollars. But while marketers have scrutinized measurement and inaccurate stats and platforms have rushed to keep pace, Pinterest is hoping to side-step at least some of the initial measurement issues by inking deals with Moat and Nielsen that allow marketers to vet metrics through third parties.
It is one of the most powerful platforms for professional networking. Make sure to add a professional looking profile photo along with the incredible headline on your profile to make your page worth reading and talking about.

Assuming the blue individual recruits five, and those five recruit their own five, and so on, the maximum theoretical cycles of recruits possible in the “downline” of the blue individual is 14 cycles (514 = 6.1 billion people), after which point the total human population is exceeded.
It’s this approach to Twitter that makes them stand out from the crowd — and it certainly works for their audience. Their head of digital and communities Joe McEwan says that people really connect with their brand because they talk like human beings, without jargon or “technical mumbo jumbo.”
Instagram Stories have a slideshow format and are only live for 24-hours (though they can be saved to your device to be re-used later). This new feature is a direct competitor to Snapchat’s Stories and is now being heavily developed by Instagram. These are some of the benefits of using Instagram Stories for brands:
At the time of publishing our report, the above tweet had been retweeted 2,645 times and liked by 5,422. It’s still very much alive on Twitter and it’s now been retweeted 35,369 and liked 128,270 times. The New York Times uses @NYTimesComm to respond to tweets but rarely engages. In this instance, protecting its brand was primary.

Not only does he provide practical takeaways every week in his Whiteboard Friday series, he never fails to include that personal touch. Earning the trust and building that audience over time is one of the major reasons why Moz’s software is currently valued at $120 million.

Don’t save the best ones for your own site. Your best points should be made on LinkedIn so that the reader is curious and clicks the link to read the rest of the article.
