Hi Lewis, I am reading your book and trying to distill your strategies into my local marketing efforts. I noticed in the book that your co-author has an image of himself in his request for a connection (pg 12). For the life of me, I can’t figure this one out! Would please give some guidance on this one? Best regards,
Converse made wise use of the popularity of Chinese entertainer Zhang Yi Xing recently. Just by mentioning his name and showing him in a pair of Converse shoes, this tweet quickly garnered an impressive amount of engagement. The comments leave no doubt that the enthusiastic response was largely due to fan’s love of Xing. Influencers relevant to specific subsets of an audience can be a powerful tool.

“Your home based business leads are GREAT! These were the best leads I have ordered in the 1 1/2 years I have been in business! WOW. I am very impressed. Thanks for doing such a great job. I appreciate your network marketing advertising service and will definitely recommend your MLM Leads to my downline.”
The existing Pinterest Marketing Partners specialty groups also added new partners, with Adglow, AdParlor, Bidalgo and Sprinklr joining the advertising group and the content marketing (formerly content publishing) group welcoming Socialbakers.
To help customers have a memorable Valentine’s Day, Kraft turned to Ted Williams, the famous voice discovered on the street, to send personalized videos for their Kraft Valentines Tweets campaign. This campaign was both fun and creative, offering fans a chance to create a personal message for the ones they love, while still taking advantage of a recognized voice. What better way to surprise that special someone than by having your tweet read by the “Golden Voice of Love?” All customers had to do was tweet #voiceoflove to Kraft for a chance to have their love message read by Williams.
It’s best practice to use between three to five hashtags, despite the fact that the maximum you can add is 30 per Instagram post. Use your own, campaign specific hashtags as well as the more popular hashtags to increase the discoverability of your content. For example, try adding hashtags like #instagood (used is 300 million posts), or #tbt (Throwback Thursday), and don’t forget about industry specific ones. If you are in IT, the hashtag #IT or #tech will do just fine. Also, consider how you add hashtags, these can be added at the end of the post, in a comment or worked into the actual post, like GoPro does.
When Twitter filed with the SEC in November 2013, the social media platform had more than 232 million active monthly users, with 53 million in the U.S. With numbers like that, it’s obvious that Twitter can be used as a powerful marketing tool. But then the challenge comes with figuring out how to leverage this popular, 140-character marketing tool to drive more traffic to your website.
It’s okay to have a trash can bond fire and burn the spamway tapes and targeted cult propaganda designed to covert either the preacher, the engineer hippy, or the spcial ed teacher. Pile it up, lite it, and dance around the cleansing fire. Those antiquated methods are useless anyway in today’s multilevel network market.
Pinterest is also adding companies that help advertisers apply their own data when targeting ads. These companies — like Epsilon, Experian, Salesforce’s Krux, Acxiom’s LiveRamp, mParticle and Neustar — will be able to take a brand’s data, like a list of customers’ email addresses, and use it to aim ads at those customers on Pinterest, as well as people who may not be customers but share similar characteristics.
4. Tweriod. Plenty of social media experts are happy to offer their opinions on the best time to tweet, but the simple truth is that no two Twitter users are alike. That’s why we love Tweriod. It analyzes each of our clients’ accounts, showing us when their links are likely to be retweeted the most and when their followers are most active.
LinkedIn groups can be very spammy and some can just be like a traffic-less ghost town. That’s because too many group members just leave their links in there and go. What i prefer doing is syndicaticating my posts on LinkedIn and then sharing those syndicated posts in LinkedIn groups. These syndicated posts receive a lot more traction in the groups than external links and you also gain engagement in LinkedIn Pulse.
My network marketing Leads are the best way to follow the golden proverb that somebody must have dropped coming down the mountain, because when it fell, it hit so hard that everyone doesn’t think twice about it just being plan common sense. And I don’t know why it isn’t folded into every California cookie because it is the best way to gain a fortune. This proverb that needs much repeating is “Work smarter, not harder.”
While you can undoubtedly learn a thing or two (okay, a lot more than that) just by reading up about all-things inbound in our marketing section, there’s lots more to learn from the many, many great marketing minds that share their knowledge with everyone online — particularly on Twitter.
This year, Pinterest has been laying the foundation for more advertising with the technology that enables marketers to manage their campaigns using familiar tools, similar to the systems they use to market on other social media platforms such as Facebook or Twitter.
Although each MLM company dictates its own specific “compensation plan” for the payout of any earnings to their respective participants, the common feature which is found across all MLMs is that the compensation plans theoretically pay out to participants only from the two potential revenue streams. The first stream of compensation can be paid out from commissions of sales made by the participants directly to their own retail customers. The second stream of compensation can be paid out from commissions based on the sales made by other distributors below the participant who had recruited those other participants into the MLM; in the organizational hierarchy of MLMs, these participants are referred to as one’s “down line” distributors.
Businesses want to measure the impact that their messages have on consumers. Brand health refers to the positive or negative feedback that a company gets. It also measures how important a brand is for consumers. With this companies want to find out if brand reputation influences their customers to make a purchase.
The percentage of an MLM company’s total profit that is ultimately distributed to its participants (the sales force), away from the MLM owners or shareholders, differs from one MLM company to the next. However, the percentage earmarked to be paid to participants is usually a quite smaller share of overall company profits. The earmarked figure is then distributed in complex compensation plans which, ultimately, funnel most of it to a few individual participants in the upper-most levels of the MLM participant pyramid. The remaining majority of participants (often over 99.5% or more) receive no returns, or negligible return which are more often than not at a net loss after they deduct expenses which were incurred in the promotion of their “independent businesses”.
Many of the beautiful sites offered no type of ongoing training, and that was something that really needs to be be a part of any good MLM leads programs. The sites we recommend all provides training which also includes scripts, handling objections, presentation, following up, closing, and other MLM leads topics. There are some HOT MLM leads sites out there that truly delivered on this qulaity of MLM leads training.
Follow the 4-1-1 rule created by Tippingpoint Labs and Joe Pulizzi of the Content Marketing Institute: For every self-serving update, share one audience-centric update, and four pieces of relevant content written by others
Pinterest also announced today that it’s giving test access to the ads API with several technology partners and brands. The company isn’t releasing details about features or participants but the general concept is the same content publishing API, except for Promoted Pins.
Video ads are available via all three ways brands buy ads with Pinterest: the self-serve platform aimed at smaller marketers, Pinterest marketing partners that buy ads through the site’s API or through account managers for top-spending advertisers.
A simple link at the bottom of the LinkedIn post that says something like, “Read all 10 by clicking here” is all you need to do to drive traffic to your own site where you can pixel the reader for re-targeting later on facebook and Google.
If I were forced to choose between using only one social networking site for my business, from Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and other social networking sites, I would choose LinkedIn, hands down. I still love these other social networking sites, but LinkedIn is by far the most powerful for your business and career.
The Federal Trade Commission warns “Not all multilevel marketing plans are legitimate. Some are pyramid schemes. It’s best not to get involved in plans where the money you make is based primarily on the number of distributors you recruit and your sales to them, rather than on your sales to people outside the plan who intend to use the products.”
I read in the forums that Linkedin can not be of much benefit to build a business but again posts like this made me change my mind. I am also wondering if this ( http://hcl.link/Linkedin ) will add any info to the article posted here.
With these examples in mind, do you see room for improvement in your strategy? If so, don’t hesitate to begin making gradual adjustments. Going forward, it would also be wise to find your own examples and role models. Modeling your strategy (or parts of it) after others who’ve been successful will help you to achieve your SMM goals.
In 1933, Procter & Gamble started to broadcast a radio serial drama sponsored by their Oxydol soap powder. The owners wanted to build brand loyalty by aiming to adult women. They could intermix their marketing messages into the serial drama. The term soap opera was born in this year, and they marked a precedent for native ads. Engagement with the audience was a key element with the creation of this content.

The idea was simple, LG would set out a stall in a UK city and the first person to get to their stall won two tickets to a high profile concert. To help users find the stall, LG placed a map online that gradually zoomed in on the precise location whenever the hashtag #lgtickethunter was used on Twitter.
By handing power to consumers and making the process more interactive, the advert generated an impressive amount of buzz. It was one of the first examples of combining TV advertising with social media to great effect.
While participants’ movement up the pyramid of an MLM can be accomplished in theory, and indeed this is one of the distinguishing factors between MLMs and traditional pyramid schemes (besides featuring actual sales of products or services), said upward movement is so extremely improbable as to render it practically impossible, despite all efforts and investments of time and money by a participant.
Louis Vuitton’s Twitter marketing strategy is one-way, no engagement, with its focus on pushing its products. It only retweeted 5 times in 2016, all from its other Twitter accounts. Yet it has nearly 6m followers, who retweeted the brand’s tweets over 378K times. It’s not a strategy that would work for all brands, but it works for luxury brands that users aspire to.
I mostly use Pulse to republish content from my blog, Social Media Slant. I just change titles and tweak the content slightly to adjust the message to my LinkedIn audience. The benefit of this approach? An increase in traffic to my own digital property. And since I promote my latest social media ebook at the end of each post, people are likely to check it out.
While there are always simple steps you can take to improve your LinkedIn experiences, the advice above shows us that the richest, most effective experiences on LinkedIn come with an investment in the platform and its members.
1/10 people who read this post won’t scroll this far, so we figure some self-promo will only put 1/10 of you on our bad side. (That’s the right math, right??). We think great content is a team sport. That’s why we let the whole team share their insights, knowledge, and occasional rants about digital advertising. It makes for some great stuff, trust me.
It’s this approach to Twitter that makes them stand out from the crowd — and it certainly works for their audience. Their head of digital and communities Joe McEwan says that people really connect with their brand because they talk like human beings, without jargon or “technical mumbo jumbo.”
