When on Linked In or any other social media network try to share at least as much content from your connections as you do for yourself. And when you do share make it look like you care by having a comment about what you are sharing.
The tip here is to get the timing right when asking for testimonials and being specific in your recommendation request. The best time is right after you’ve completed the job for your client or working with a colleague. This helps them to give more meaning and depth to their testimonial while it’s still fresh in their memory. And your request for the recommendation must be personalised (never use the ready-to-use template that LinkedIn offers). Outline some questions that will help guide them to write a testimonial that can help future clients to make a decision i.e. what were the results before and after your service/product? What was their experience working with you? How did they find the communication/process/turnaround time?
