Posting directly on LinkedIn is the most powerful tool available on LinkedIn today. If a post begins to gain some momentum, LinkedIn will put a spotlight behind it in one of their categories, and it can get tens of thousands of readers (or more). This is a great way to improve your visibility while reaching readers in a way that would not have been possible on your own website/blog or even posting an article link on LinkedIn. — Lavie Margolin, author, “The LinkedIn Butterfly Effect” (H. Delilah Business & Career Press, 2013)
In April 2006, the FTC proposed a Business Opportunity Rule intended to require all sellers of business opportunities—including MLMs—to provide enough information to enable prospective buyers/participants to make an informed decision about acquiring/joining a business venture with information disclosed about the average likelihood of monetary profitability (and the extent of monetary profitability, if any) of acquiring/joining the business venture. In March 2008, however, the FTC removed “Network Marketing” (i.e. MLM) companies from the proposed Business Opportunity Rule, thus leaving MLM participants without the ability to make an informed choice of entring or not entering MLMs based on the disclosed likelihood of success and profitability:
While marketing activities on Twitter are often described by silly, Twitterized words — like tweetathon, twontest and tweetchat — these types of campaigns have proven successful for marketers and brands of all sizes.
How can I achieve point a)? To give you an example of how I do it, let me share a short story. In 2014, I was searching for a particular subject related to startups. After reading several articles on Forbes from the same London-based author, Philip, I decided to connect with him. I introduced myself and my business through a LinkedIn message, and mentioned I enjoyed two of his articles. He accepted my request, which led to a follow-up message: a thank you note and a call to action. I wanted to introduce him to one of my contacts in London. She was organizing events for startups, which coincided with his own line of events & community at TenEntrepreneurs. Briefly after that, the introduction took place via email. In 2015, finding myself in London, I reached out to him and met for a cup of tea. This also gave us both the opportunity to better understand what the other does, business wise.
Note that Stories are only available on the mobile app and it’s possible to send Instagram Stories as a direct message (DM). We’re yet to see widespread use of sending Stories privately for businesses, unless you’ re planning to send tailored short videos to prospects.

Our developer API should only be used for direct-to-consumer integrations that help people discover and do what they love. And to avoid confusion with our Marketing Partners program, we don’t allow marketing platforms to use our developer API. This includes (but isn’t limited to) services that are meant to help marketers, advertisers or digital publishers (e.g. bloggers) report on, manage, distribute or optimize the digital marketing for paid or organic media.
Reusing content assets that have yielded good results is a powerful way to expand your content library and to promote the same content across different media channels and in different content formats. After all, what one person would enjoy as a stunning infographic, another would prefer as an expert advice e-book.
When it comes to LinkedIn, one have to keep B2B audience in mind! I generally share all the posts that are important through a B2B point of view. Another important thing to keep in mind is quality here. Your LinkedIn audience is quite well informed, so to impress them and get business from them I share exceptionally good quality contents that offer some added value. Also I share great contents from other authority bloggers. You can say, it’s a 50:50 ratio; 50% my own posts, 50% from other awesome bloggers out there.
Lesson: Whether it’s as simple as employing a hashtag or as strategic as creating a social landing page, aggregating and organizing conversation around your brand, especially during events, is key to making a splash on Twitter.
Digital content marketing, which is a management process, uses digital products through different electronic channels to identify, forecast and satisfy the necessity of the customers. It must be consistently maintained to preserve or change the behavior of customers.
Calls to action can help you to effectively generate more leads, get more shares, make more sales and so on. That’s why the NFL chose to use a CTA in this tweet. In this case, the purpose was to boost engagement by asking followers to retweet.
Share relevant content. One of the best ways to improve your rankings and search results is to share relevant content regularly. When you publish updates from your Company Page they also appear on your public page, allowing your content to be indexed by Google. The more frequently you share content your followers engage with, the higher your Company Page will appear in search results.
If your business is service-oriented, focus on showcasing the process behind providing the service. Show your company culture, share your mission with the world, or simply share some tips and how-tos. It’s possible to upload photos, short videos (similar to GIFs, called Boomerangs) and videos up to one minute in length.
When she’s not professing over lectures at NYU, Heidi manages the Actionable Marketing Guide blog. Unlike many marketing professionals, Heidi drives content towards measuring marketing ROI rather than simple content creation. Her article on making your social media marketing measurable (linked above) is one of our favorites. It outlines the riddle we are trying to solve at AdHawk; very few businesses are capable of tracking lead generation, marketing ROI, and attributed revenue across social media platforms.

Porterfield has roughly 70,000 followers for a reason: She’s well-versed in the ways of wooing them with great content. The social media strategist not only has extensive knowledge related to social best practices, but she’s also not shy in tweeting other thoughtful content on the subject from industry experts you might not know.
“Network marketing” and “multi-level marketing” (MLM) have been described by author Dominique Xardel as being synonymous, with it being a type of direct selling. Some sources emphasize that multi-level marketing is merely one form of direct selling, rather than being direct selling. Other terms that are sometimes used to describe multi-level marketing include “word-of-mouth marketing”, “interactive distribution”, and “relationship marketing”. Critics have argued that the use of these and other different terms and “buzzwords” is an effort to distinguish multi-level marketing from illegal Ponzi schemes, chain letters, and consumer fraud scams.
Google’s Twitter feed is hardly a selling platform. Occasionally it tweets about product development but primarily it’s a collection of everything it considers important. Whether it’s a worthy cause, political issues, amusing anecdotes, or something poignant. The tweet above was retweeted 10,032 times and liked by 17,715. Comments weren’t all positive, but Google stood up for what it believes in and received engagement of 27.7K.
When it comes to brands who “do it all” Twitter, JetBlue takes the cake. Several unaffiliated trade, professional and industry organizations that we belong to have Linkedin groups. One example is the American Marketing Association. Large organizations like the American Marketing Association have chapters in every city and private Linkedin groups established for local chapters. Members of the American Marketing Association are encouraged to connect to one another and share relevant posts in these local Linkedin groups. Meetup.com is another site where people meet in local organizations that have formed Linkedin groups.
Takeaway: Identify and connect with influencers—individuals that have the power and the audience to influence your target audience. Their support of your business can move others to support you as well.

With Sponsored Updates, businesses pay to push their post onto an individual’s LinkedIn feed. This “pay-per-click” or “pay-per-1,000” impression feature offers demographics similar to other social platforms (location, gender and age), but one key differentiation is the ability to customize based on company name, job title, job function, skills, schools and groups. Users can target interested industries, without competing against the noise of other irrelevant companies and messages. A sponsored update can be an excellent way to promote thought-leadership content useful primarily to the targeted audience with a strong call to action. People don’t want to see pure advertising anymore and want something useful for free. By promoting a firm’s content (white paper, guide, etc.) through a LinkedIn Sponsored Update, a firm can target a niche audience, increase website visitors and, if the content is compelling enough, generate sales leads. — Jeremy Durant

A number of LinkedIn newbies or purists will say, “You should only connect with those you already know and trust, so you can make recommendations to others when they want an introduction.” Believe me, I understand where these users are coming from, but how do you expect to expand your opportunities and options when you shut off communication to the rest of the 85 million plus members on LinkedIn?
The overwhelming majority of MLM participants (most sources estimated to be over 99.25% of all MLM participants) participate at either an insignificant or nil net profit. Indeed, the largest proportion of participants must operate at a net loss (after expenses are deducted) so that the few individuals in the uppermost level of the MLM pyramid can derive their significant earnings—earnings which are then emphasized by the MLM company to all other participants to encourage their continued participation at a continuing financial loss.
A quick refresher on Pinterest’s Marketing Partners program: Pinterest introduced the program in April 2015 as a way to open up its automated tools to post content and buy ads on its platform, but only to certain companies on whom Pinterest would effectively bestow its own “Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval.” Facebook and Twitter operate similar programs.
“Pinterest has proven to be a powerful platform for brands to reach new and existing customers,” per Aaron Goldman, Chief Marketing Officer at 4C. “The combination of focused consumer intent, high-impact visuals, and built-in network effects of Pinterest has led to unparalleled performance. The results 4C clients have seen from Pinterest ads speak for themselves and Pinterest’s commitment to its Marketing Partners program bodes well for future success.”
