What a great idea to compile a list of income reports. I also like to read them, but sometimes it is frustrating too. I know that there is more that I could be doing – I just have to step it up.The good news is that there are tons of possibilities.
Hi guys, I’m also looking for ways to make money online as well. As I’ve been finding sites from videos or reviews online I’ve been collecting them in a list on my site I recently built to make it easier for others in my position. It’s organised by surveys, crowdsource tasks, freelance work and stuff like that.
I have a question for you about affiliate marketing. I always like to use affiliate links because I like the idea of supporting bloggers when I like what they write. However, I live in the UK, so when I’m being directed to the American amazon website it’s really no use for me. I was wondering if you know whether or not you will still receive an income out of the affiliate links when, within the same session, I would change from amazon.com to amazon.co.uk (or any other country for that matter). I noticed it is possible to change to another amazon website at the bottom of the American amazon page.
Wow. I love this list. As a new blogger, I often feel overwhelmed and sometimes uninspired because it feels like an uphill battle trying to figure out this business. This list has really helped me compile a great deal of resources for what I hope will be a successful blog in the future. Thank you for this!
with so many businesses now running blogs their is a huge demand for competent writers and bloggers. By promoting your services on your blog rather than on a freelancing network such as Upwork you can demand a higher rate. You could also offer similar services such as proofreading and editing too.
Thanks for this list. It is really inspiring. I started my own blog, http://www.wisdomforwinning.net but am not sure how to go about and earn some passive income from it. It has been running for a month now and I have got feedback from different people that I really publish some good content which is really helping them. Even the traffic is getting bigger each day which motivates me to go on.
The income from affiliate marketing is almost entirely passive. You don’t have to worry about creating products, supporting customers, or any of the technical complexity of selling your own products or services. You can also invest the time you save into growing your traffic, leading to more revenue later.
To me, that’s akin to walking into a business on a Monday morning and demanding to see the manager. I tell him I’d like a job opportunity at his company, and when he asks for my resume, I can’t provide him with one (my blog). And when he asks for my references (social media), I can’t provide that either. Why is he going to listen to me?
Anybody who’s been online for a while has heard the term “VALUE” at least a million times. Yet, only a few of us know “WHAT” value IS. I’ve generated a substantial amount of subscribers over the years, but my relationship with them was lacking, because I didn’t fully grasp the concept of giving value.
My question is if I should launch with already several posts on my blog, or just put up one and then add new posts every other day? I plan to share/launch it to friends and family with a special pregnancy announcement, so I’m hoping it’ll get a few hits/views right away.
Awesome post to make money via blogging in 2016. As today many bloggers are struggling to make money and choosing the right path to make money. So I say monetization is not the right way to make money instead use alternative methods you have already described above. So thank you.
Matt and I started the Millennial Money Minutes podcast in December 2016, so when I wrote my goals for 2017, we had really just gotten started. But recording 100 episodes felt like a massive goal! But through a consistent recording schedule and the fact that we didn’t have to cancel any recording sessions for the first half of the year, we were able to absolutely crush the goal and record 232 podcast episodes in 2017. That’s an insane amount of talking. Not only that, we were voted one of the top 10 business podcasts on Podbean (coming in at #4!) and have made many other podcast “best of” lists. If you are interested in starting a podcast, definitely check out Podbean – I’ve been super happy with them. If you want to binge listen or search all the episodes click here. But of the 232 episodes we recorded in 2017, here are my top 3 favorite episodes of the year:
* A newbie blogger should not compare their blog with most successful bloggers. Creating useful content and it’s presentation needs to attract the visitors. Therefore, readers will engage with the blog. By doing this, one can drive massive traffic to his/her website which in turn generates huge income.

Took Shoutmeloud years to make over $20,000 a month in revenue on a constant basis and Harsh does not used Adesene ever on his main blog… yet he makes under $500 a month with Google AdSense on his other blogs. He focus on affiliate marketing, sponsored reviews and direct ad sales for income. Less ads on the blog helps a lot in regards to revenue.
Founder of Millennial Money. Dubbed “The Millennial Millionaire” by CNBC, Grant went from $2.26 to over $1 million in 5 years, reaching financial independence at age 30. He’s passionate about helping others build wealth and is addicted to Personal Capital.
Another thing you’ll notice is that many of these bloggers are doing a great job of diversifying their income (not putting all their eggs into one basket). This is very smart in blogging, and I can say from personal experience that the more I branched out with income streams, the more I earned overall. And it felt good to not be dependent on just one or two income sources.
If you are new, obviously don’t try to fit all of these income streams in at one time. You should build on it and work on one at a time. Slowly build your income. Think of it in terms of a job. When you start out at a job you don’t usually start making the big bucks right away. After time and experience come into play, then you start making more and more money with raises and promotions. Now you can make a ton more money online than a typical job but it is the same concept!
Great article. I recently came into blogging. I hadn’t completed what quantity I had learnt from my initial try. currently, with the new diary, I started a few month alone, I’m seeing a rise in traffic on a daily basis that is kind of stunning and really exciting. therefore I even have been reading everywhere the way to legitimize a diary. Your article is superb and in-depth. Many thanks for sharing. I will be able to definitely take on some of your advice. Cheers Jamie!
If you are using Google Blogger, know their policies or risk becoming invisible on their search engines. Any tag containing an affiliate link should include instructions that stop your referral from boosting the ad buyer’s search engine visibility: .
If you have not  yet created a blog but want to, check this easy step by step guide on how to create a blog in just minutes.  You too can make money blogging.  This however is not a get rich quick scheme or anything of the like.  It is very difficult to make money blogging and it takes so much time, experience and effort to accomplish this.  I know because in the short time I have been blogging, I have barely made any money at all from it and I’ve poured my heart and soul into Cash Flow Diaries.  I’m still trying to learn from others how to properly make money blogging and in the mean time, I will continue logging my journey to financial freedom and trying to help others get there.
For 2018, I’ve set a revenue goal of $500,000 which might be achievable if the new courses being developed are successful and website traffic continues to grow. I’m also planning to donate a lot of money in 2018 to support Ugandan school fees (my wife works there) and invest in financial literacy initiatives in the United States.

The reason this section is called “Great Content” is because your content really does need to be of a high standard. Everyday millions of blog posts are published on the internet and with so much competition for our limited attention spans you really have to be creating blog posts people are going to want to read and perhaps even share on social media or on their own blogs.
I’m new at an online website and want to simultaneously pour into a blog as well. Not necessarily looking for income at this point, just so much I want to share but I have no idea of where to start and how to connect with am audience or other bloggers for that matter! Any tips would be super helpful! Thanks and congratulations!
Man, I can’t believe how gimmicky a lot of those blog are at the top of the list-most of the products they offer are like infomercials + self help books. Still trying to figure out how they make money other than the how to write a blog tutorials.

These are some of the best I have read in a while Jon. Well, am a blogger in a relatively different online environment – Africa to be precise. Some things just don’t work out over here – ebooks no one buys them, mailing lists, no one joins them and very few people are willing to pay you to teach them anything. Hopefully, over time I will find the right formula to bissect this difficult market.

Another important thing to point out, which should be a bullet point for each of these, is social network integration. Blogger, for instance, is what I have been using for years and am now looking to move away from it because it has never done a good job of integrating with various social networks. Like, when sharing to Twitter it doesn’t even use a Twitter “card” so the only thing you see is an anonymous URL. Not very helpful when getting the word out about your latest blog post. Thanks for the great comparison, though. This has given me some good ideas on what to move to.
